The Talking Pen is an eye hand coordination activity designed to improve fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and auditory discrimination for children with neurological or visual disabilities. This fiber optic pen traces patterns and when its tip strays from the line, it senses a change in reflected light and activates auditory and visual feedback. The feedback can be adjusted to meet user needs. Controls also enable adjustment of tip sensitivity and feedback volume. An earphone jack allows private use. The unit comes complete with preprinted patterns, an instruction manual, a power cord, and an audio cord to connct to radio, tape player, or CD player for varied feedback. The device comes with a battery charger and instruction manual with 30 pstterns.
